Subject: 2 COURSES AVAILABLE IN MAY
Good afternoon!
I Hope you are well and enjoying the sunshine?
I am pleased to advise that we still have spaces on the following 2
courses, running in May. Both are funded by the Tenant Services
Authority, so are free to Tenants and Residents of Registered Social
Landlords.
Is Your Door Really Open? Monday 10 - Tuesday 11 May
Your group wants to be open and inclusive: everyone is welcome at
your meetings and activities.....and yet only the same faces turn up.
Who is missing and why?
This course will include lively excercises and games. It will help
you build your action plan to "map" your own community and find
varied and interesting ways to reach particular sections you are most
likely to be missing.
The course will help you with practical tips and tools to: -
* Check the make-up of your community and identify who is missing
from activities
* Find welcoming ways to interest and attract newcomers
* Get your message across clearly and understandably
* Involve more people in the decisions that matter to them
Two or more are welcome from one organisation to get the best from
your action planning
Committee Skills for Voluntary Organisations Wednesday 12 - Friday 14
May
Gain accreditation to Open College Network level 2 on this course,
which will give you and your group the confidence to work as an
effectively and mutually supportive committee.
The couse covers: -
* The legal roles and responsibilities of the Management Committees
* The recruitment and selection process
* Understanding skills and training needs
* Effective meetings, agendas and minutes
* Analysis tools to use with your own organisation
Groups of 2 or 3 from one organisation will benefit. Assessment will
be over the 3 days of the course and will not involve additional work
later on.
Please can you contact me urgently on 01244 300246 or
