Crimestoppers is a registered charity working to help solve crimes.
By providing the phone line, 0800 555 111, people who don't want to go to the police to report crime can call us anonymously to give information they know about crime.
The charity is responsible for operating and funding the activities of Crimestoppers' anonymous phone number, 0800 555 111. In essence, this means promoting the phone number to those people most likely to use it and ensure we have the resources to do this effectively.
We also work on youth-related projects to raise awareness of Crimestoppers among young people.
The main work of the charity is done by our 44 regional Crimestoppers committees, who span the UK. The regional committees are run by volunteers, who all give up their time to promote the Crimestoppers' anonymous phone number 0800 555 111, through regional-specific campaigns and events.
